Delete duo app4/30/2023 Long pressing on an app icon will bring up the option to disable or remove / © NextPitĪ disabled app will no longer run in the background and will not receive any updates, eliminating an unnecessary drain on resources. Then long press on any app to bring up a bubble that will allow you to disable the app, or uninstall if possible.Samsung's UI deviates from stock Android in a few ways, and it comes with an alternative process to disable Samsung's bloatware apps: You can learn how easy it is to uninstall Samsung apps. Although the layout can vary slightly depending on the manufacturer's OS, the process is very similar on most smartphones. Every app will continue to be listed there, even if it is invisible in the app drawer. Should you change your mind, you can return to the app list and reverse the process. This refers to apps that rely on the app in question to function normally. When disabling an app, the system warns you that some programs might not work properly afterwards. Or, if you use a third-party app for emails, you can make the default email app on Android disappear. Anything that does not fall into one of these two categories can usually be disabled unless it is on a protected system partition (some manufacturers deliberately do this with their apps). These apps are essential for Android to run properly. Some apps cannot be uninstalled or disabled (the Settings app, for example).

I’ve had an amazing group of coaches who have traveled this whole journey with me, who have struggled with me, who have fought with me,” Dennis said. “It’s all very rewarding to me to see not just my success because it doesn’t come solo. While achieving plenty of accomplishments and earning hardware, Dennis said she traversed the many seasons with help from her support staff, from academic oversight to athletic trainers to compliance. The athletic department announced Monday that Dennis will retire from coaching and will introduce the next head coach Wednesday, according to an Ohio State spokesperson. “That’s probably one of the most satisfying moments in my entire career when I sat there and watched those kids for two hours on the track just celebrate together with their families, take pictures and just enjoy the moment with each other.”ĭennis said she’s thought about retirement over the last five years, but felt like now was the right time to commit to a decision. “My professional dream was to have both our men and our women win together so that they could celebrate together,” Dennis said. Adobe shockwave player review4/30/2023 It overhauls the foundational aspect of photo editing Adobe software. In fact, its Lightroom software got an AI feature offering a 30 percent image quality increase. What is the Best Replacement?Īdobe recommends the use of Creative Cloud as the best replacement.Įven though Adobe will discontinue it, it is still improving other platforms. When developers stopped supporting it, those old apps would be unusable after Shockwave’s death. But that was before HTML became powerful and consumer smartphones were just a pipe dream. In the past, Shockwave allowed visually exciting web apps. Most older web games were developed and built around Shockwave. Its developers would wish to move on to newer formats if they want to support their web apps. As the popularity of HTML5 and WebGL increases, the use of Shockwave declined. However, if you are an enterprise customer, you can still receive support up to 2022.īut it is not surprising to know that Adobe is shutting it down. Color zen seasons walkthrough4/30/2023 Most presentations will not follow a classic story structure, but there are many narrative structures such as explanatory narratives, slice of life, and so on. Once you give the presentation the structure will often be invisible to the audience, but it will make all the difference. The structure can be very, very simple, but you need it there to help you build your narrative. The advice may not be new and it may not sounds exciting, but it's true: Know your audience. The message or the lesson must be accessible and useful for your particular audience. Yes, the plot-the events and facts and the order in which they are arranged-may be unique to us, but the theme is universal. If designed and told well, our story is really their story. Ideas and patterns are easier to see when they are up on the wall or spread out on the table.Įven when we are "telling our story" we are really telling their story. We've got to see the details and subtract and add (but mostly subtract) where needed. You've got to get your idea out of your head and on the wall so you can see it, share it, make it better. Turn off the technology and minimize the distractions. Preparation should be analog at the beginning. Most people open a computer and create an outline. It's not an exhaustive list by any means. The title of the talk is "10 Ways to Make Better Presentations: Lessons from Storytellers." But as I say early in the presentation, perhaps a better subtitle would be "Lessons from watching too many Pixar films." Below the video I list the ten (actually eleven) lessons. There’s a good chance you’ll be able to clamber up buildings or scale walls this way.A couple of years ago, I was asked back to the TEDxKyoto stage to give a few words regarding tips from storytelling as they relate to modern presentations. In the Solar Ash gameplay trailer, we see the protagonist latch onto the ooze. But it does seem like you can use the slime to your advantage. Blackish-red sludge is oozing out of the world, almost like blood from a gaping wound. The world in Solar Ash is dying, and you can see it in the environmental design. There’s also some rail grinding, which looks to give Sonic the Hedgehog a run for his money. The protagonist can jump, double jump, slide, and use a grapple to cross large gaps. There’s also a major focus on speed and platforming. Attacks are swift and fluid, with most standard enemies going down in about a single hit. Preston points out the game’s simplicity in combat, which is no surprise considering Hyper Light Drifter‘s low-key combat. It’s very much an action-focused platformer, and an uncomplicated one at that. The third-person action game is gorgeous and shining with color, swarming with monsters to kill.Īlx Preston, the creative director of the game, talks us through the gameplay of Solar Ash. The gameplay walkthrough trailer for Solar Ash came earlier today during Sony’s State of Play. Solar Ash, announced nearly two years ago, seems to exist in the same spirit as Hyper Light but in full 3D. I regret not having played Hyper Light Drifter, because its developer’s latest game almost appears to be a spiritual follow up to it.

Okra recipes4/30/2023 Soak okra in vinegar water for 30 minutes.Add water to a large mixing bowl and add about ¼ cup vinegar, mixing to combine.□ However, it’s super simple to cook okra without the slime if you follow these steps: This is why okra is often fried, which make it crispy (but also makes it generally unhealthy). When it is cooked on its own the slimy mouthfeel is a turnoff for some people. When okra is cooked its seeds create a gelatinous substance, which makes it a great addition to soups and stews because it is a natural thickener (think gumbo). Then remove the okra to a plate and eat immediately for best flavor. When the okra is browned and almost done, squeeze lemon juice onto the okra and then sprinkle the reserved spiced cornmeal powder into the pan and toss the okra until it is completely coated in the cornmeal. Using a skillet, gently flip the okra every few minutes to make sure it is browned on all sides. When the pan is heated, add the dried okra and sauté for about 12-15 minutes. To do this, heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat (we use and love a cast iron skillet for pan fried okra). The final step is to cook the okra and add the cornmeal topping. To do this, mix together cornmeal, paprika, garlic powder, sea salt, and black pepper in a small mixing bowl and then set aside until after the okra is cooked. While the okra is soaking, make the paprika-spiced cornmeal that we will use to coat the okra after it is cooked and provide a crunchy mouthfeel. Soak okra in vinegar and water, then pat dryĢ️⃣ Step Two: Make the spice cornmeal topping Soak okra for 20-30 minutes.Īfter the okra has soaked, drain the vinegar water, rinse the okra and pat them dry before cooking. To do this, fill a large mixing bowl with water and about 1/2 cup white vinegar. The first step is to soak okra in a vinegar and water wash to reduce the slimy mouthfeel that okra has when cooked (see the next section for further information about why okra gets soft when cooking). □ How to make (step-by-step photos) 1️⃣ Step One: Soak okra in vinegar and water to reduce slime Ready to learn how to make okra on the stovetop? Let’s do it! Forget deep fried okra, this recipe pan fries in a small amount of oil and uses cornmeal to add a crunchy fried texture. The spiced cornmeal crusting provides a crunchy mouthfeel and a burst of spicy flavor. No messy breading or heavy oils, this simple skillet okra has simple ingredients you likely already have on hand. □ Here are three reasons you should be pan searing okra: In fact, it can be made in a skillet on the stovetop! However, that all changed when we realized you can make deliciously crunchy okra without heavy breading or deep frying. UPDATE: This recipe was originally posted in September 2018 and the text was updated with new information in January 2021.Īre you an ok lover? We are too! However, okra was a vegetable that we loved only when deep fried or cooked into gumbo, and was never something we made at home. No deep frying, no heavy breading - just a simple cornmeal dusted crunchy okra recipe that's healthy and tasty! Alphabet radio international otan4/30/2023 In 1947 the ITU adopted the compound number words (Nadazero Unaone, etc.), later adopted by the IMO in 1965. It was finally adopted by the IMO in 1965. And the final version was implemented by ICAO on 1 March 1956, and adopted as the established phonetic alphabet by 1959 by the ITU, when it was adopted by all radio operators, whether military, civilian, or amateur. nanmoins, l'un d'eux, dit alphabet phontique de l'otan (car gnralis par l'otan), est reconnu de manire internationale par l'union internationale des tlcommunications (uit), ainsi que dans le cadre des communications aronautiques par l'organisation de l'aviation civile internationale (oaci). Confusion among words like Delta, Nectar, Victor, and Extra, or the unintelligibility of other words under poor receiving conditions were the main problems.Īfter much study, only the five words representing the letters C, M, N, U, and X were replaced. To identify the deficiencies of the new alphabet, testing was conducted among speakers from 31 nations, principally by the governments of the UK and the US. Some users felt that they were so severe that they reverted to the old “Able Baker” alphabet. Immediately, problems were found with the IATA list. After further study and modification by each approving body, the revised alphabet was implemented on 1 November 1951 in civil aviation (but it may not have been adopted by any military at this stage): But many sounds were unique to English, so an alternative “Ana Brazil” alphabet was used in Latin America.īut the International Air Transport Association (IATA), recognising the need for a single universal alphabet, presented a draft to ICAO in 1947 that had sounds common to English, French, and Spanish. The UK adapted its RAF alphabet in 1943 to be almost identical to the American Joint-Army-Navy (JAN) one.Īfter World War II, with many aircraft and ground personnel drawn from the allied armed forces, “Able Baker” continued to be used in civil aviation. alphabet became known as Able Baker after its words for A and B. adopted the Joint Army/Navy Phonetic Alphabet from 1941 to standardise all branches of its armed forces. British forces adopted the RAF phonetic alphabet, which is similar to the phonetic alphabet used by the Royal Navy in World War I. This original alphabet was used in civil aviation until World War II and continued to be used by the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) until 1965:īritish and American armed forces each developed and used their own, different phonetic alphabets (before both adopted the universal ICAO alphabet in 1956). You need to listen to more than 1 or 2 songs to get an understanding of what we do here. The first internationally-recognised phonetic alphabet was adopted by the ITU (International Telecommunication Union) in 1927 and following this, the concept was adopted by the International Commission for Air Navigation (which later became ICAO – The International Civil Aviation Organization). It's pointless as you will make a judgement based on one song and that isn't worth yours or our time. One last thing, please don't push play unless you are prepared to invest a little time here. However, it took several adaptations before the version used today came into effect. Often songs are introduced by comedy from TV, radio and movies. The NATO phonetic alphabet became effective in 1956 and just a few years later became the established universal phonetic alphabet. And it's not just music - we play no current commercials.
